1. Subject Pronoun

In this part, we will learn Indonesian Pronouns that act as Subject Pronouns.

Here is the explanation and the example of Indonesian Pronouns in Sentences:

  • Aku / Saya = I
    Aku senang nasi goreng.
    I like fried rice.
  • Kamu = You
    Kamu tidak senang nasi goreng.
    You don’t like fried rice.
  • Dia = He
    Dia lebih suka mie goreng.
    He likes fried noodles more.
  • Dia = She
    Sedangkan dia lebih suka bihun goreng.
    While she likes fried vermicelli more.
  • Kita = We
    Kita memiliki beberapa perbedaan.
    We have some diversity.
  • Mereka = They
    Untungnya mereka mau menerima kami.
    Thankfully they gladly accept us.

2. Object Pronouns

  • Aku = Me
    Guru kelas 10 sedang berbicara dengan aku.
    The 10th grade teacher is talking to me.
    b. -ku = Me
    Guru kelas 10 sedang berbicara denganku.
    The 10th grade teacher is talking to me.
  • Kamu = You
    Kepala sekolah ingin bertemu dengan kamu.
    The head master wants to meet you.
    b. –mu = You
    Kepala sekolah ingin bertemu denganmu.
    The head master wants to meet you.
  • Dia = Him
    Para guru memilih dia karena ia berkarisma.
    The teachers choose him because he is charming.
    b. –nya = Him
    Para guru memilihnya karena ia berkarisma.
    The  teachers choose him because he is charming.
  • Dia = Her
    Teman sekelas kami menyerahkan sebuket bunga untuk dia.
    Our classmate gives a bouquet of flowers to her.
    a. -nya = Her
    Teman sekelas kami menyerahkan sebuket bunga untuknya.
    Our classmate gives a bouquet of flowers to her.
  • Kami = Us
    Kepala Sekolah mengizinkan kami untuk mengerjakan proyek di sekolah pada malam hari.
    The head master allows us to do our project in the school at night.
  • Kalian = You
    Menurut wali kelas, kalian adalah calon ketua OSIS yang baik.
    According to our homeroom teacher, you are the good candidate for student council’s leader.
  • Mereka = Them
    Acara ini diselenggarakan oleh mereka.
    This event is held by them.

3. Possesive Adjectives (Determiner)

5. Reflexive Pronouns

    Di dalam ruangan ini hanya ada diriku seorang.
    In this room there is only myself alone.

    Di dalam ruangan ini hanya ada diriku seorang.

  • a. Diri kamu = Yourself
    Aku yakin kamu bisa mengerjakan tugas-tugas ini oleh diri kamu.
    I am sure you can do these tasks by yourself.
    b. Dirimu = Yourself
    Aku yakin kamu bisa mengerjakan tugas-tugas ini oleh dirimu.
    I am sure you can do these tasks by yourself.
  • a. Diri dia = Himself
    Semua lukisan ini dibuat oleh diri dia.
    All of these painting are made by himself.
    b. Dirinya = Himself
    Semua lukisan ini dibuat oleh dirinya.
    All of these painting are made by himself.
  • a. Diri dia = Herself
    Kamu harus percaya bahwa kue yang kamu makan adalah buatan diri dia.
    You have to believe the cake that you had eaten was made by herself.
    b. Dirinya = Herself
    Kamu harus percaya bahwa kue yang kamu makan adalah buatan diri dia.

  • Diri kami = Ourselves
    Kami harus mempersiapkan semua logistik acara ini oleh diri kami sendiri.
    We have to prepare all of this event’s logistic by ourselves alone.
  • Diri Kalian = Yourselves
    Terima kasih karena kalian telah mempersiapkan semua logistik oleh diri kalian.
    Thank you that you had prepared all of the logistic by yourselves.
  • Diri Mereka = Theirselves
    Mereka sangat hebat karena telah mempersiapkan acara ini dengan diri mereka.
    They are so great that they had prepared this event by theirselves.
